Dear friends! I will tell you a tale about an ancient village of real heroic Bulgarians - with Erkech. The most popular theory about the origin of the name of the village - Erkech, is from the Turkish word combination - "erken getch", i.e. "mini-go" or "mini-faster". The village has gone down in history as a dangerous place to stay and sleep, which must be passed through as quickly as possible. "In Erkech, a Turkish foot has not died. If it fell silent, it has not dawned" - people of Erke remember even today. In 1934, the Turkish name of the village was changed to Kozichino. On its land, an archaeological discovery of a treasure of silver coins was made, probably hidden around 1399. Kozichino is located in one of the three divisions of the Eastern Stara Planina - "Kodza Balkan". It is located 39 km. from Pomorie and 47 km. from Burgas. This is the only village in Bulgaria where the traditions related to the two-day celebration of Lazarus Day - Lazaritsa - have been preserved, the authentic Bulgarian folklore has been preserved, the fighting Bulgarian spirit is preserved and alive.
